Life expectancy in a vase and care features for some types of flowers

Roses - the most popular flower. Peony, bush, fragrant, one and a half meter giant roses - a huge number of varieties and colors can satisfy the taste of the most sophisticated buyer. Roses are characterized by medium resistance, from 5 to 15 days, some varieties cost up to 2.5 weeks. Care Features:

  • remove the leaf on 2/3 of the stem; if there are thorns, then it is advisable not to remove them, so as not to injure the stem;
  • cut at an angle;
  • put in water so that 50% stem height is in the water

Chrysanthemums - one of the most persistent colors. Keep fresh up to 30 days and do not require complex care.
Care Features:

  • remove lower leaves;
  • undercut;
  • put 1/3 of the stem into the water

Orchids - differ in very long resistance, some species stand without any signs of wilting up to 3 weeks.
Care Features:

  • if the orchid is bought or presented as a branch, then it must be cut and put into water on 1/4 of the stem, with the addition of top dressing for cut orchids;
  • if the branch is divided into flowers and each is in a separate test tube, you do not need to do anything, in these test tubes the water is already fed. Put a bouquet of orchids in the water to feed greens and other flowers, after pruning the stems

Carnations - also long-livers, with proper care they will delight about 3 weeks.
Care Features:

  • settle the lower leaves;
  • undercut;
  • put 1/3 of the stem into the water

Tulips - stand for 5-15 days, resistance depends on the degree of maturity during cutting. Only the stained buds, though small, will stand for a long time. Tulips, like all spring flowers, love very cold water, which they intensively absorb, so you need to monitor the water level in the vase.
Care Features:

  • remove lower leaves;
  • undercut;
  • put in water 1/3 of the stem. If tulips are planted during transport to avoid bending the stems, they must be folded evenly, wrapped tightly in newspaper or paper, and placed in a dark, cool place before being put into water.

Gerberas - flowers of medium resistance, 7-10 days. Gerberas very quickly pollute water, so you need to change it every day, wash the vase with a disinfectant, be sure to make a new cut. To cut gerberas is better with a sharp knife. Stems that are too long must be shortened.
Care Features:

  • trim at least 5 cm .;
  • put in water 5-7 cm .;
  • monitor the purity of the water in the vase and change it every day

Lilies - many varieties and hybrids of various colors, fragrant and odorless. The advantage is that all the lily buds open gradually, therefore, with a short life of one flower, a branch costs 7-15 days. Faded buds must be removed immediately, as are the stamens from newly opened buds. Be careful, work with gloves, pollen from ripened stamens is very difficult to remove from the fabric.
